1. Promoter
The competition is promoted by Testmate of Level 2, 627 Chapel Street, South Yarra VIC 3141, Australia (“Testmate”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Enquiries may be directed to hello@testmate.com.au or 1300 603 388.
2. Definitions
- “Competition” means the Testmate Website Testing Giveaway described on the Giveaway Page.
- “Giveaway Page” means the page at testmate.com.au/website-testing-giveaway/.
- “Entry” means a completed application form submitted via the Giveaway Page during the Competition Period.
- “Entrant” means the individual who submits an Entry on behalf of an Eligible Organisation.
- “Eligible Organisation” has the meaning given in clause 4.
- “Prize” means the User Research Partnership package described in clause 6.
- “Winner” means the Eligible Organisation selected to receive the Prize in accordance with clause 8.
3. Competition Period
The Competition closes on 15 June 2026 at 11:59 pm AEST. Entries received after this time will not be accepted. The Winner will be selected within 14 business days of the closing date and notified within 5 business days of selection. Testmate reserves the right to extend or shorten the Competition Period by publishing a notice on the Giveaway Page.
4. Eligibility
The Competition is open to any Australian organisation. An Entry must be submitted by an individual aged 18 years or over who is authorised to enter into agreements on behalf of their organisation.
Employees and contractors of Testmate Pty Ltd, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
Testmate reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage and to disqualify any Entry that does not satisfy these requirements.
5. How to Enter
To enter, an authorised representative must, during the Competition Period:
- navigate to the Giveaway Page and complete all required fields in the application form, including name, email address, job title, phone number, organisation name, and industry;
- provide responses to the digital experience questions and written justification fields; and
- submit the completed form by clicking “Submit My Entry”.
Only one Entry per organisation will be accepted. Duplicate submissions from the same organisation will result in only the first valid Entry being considered. Entry is free of charge. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Incomplete or inaccurate Entries will be deemed invalid.
6. The Prize
One (1) Prize is available, consisting of a User Research Partnership package valued at approximately AUD $20,000, comprising:
- UX expert review of key user journeys
- Moderated user testing sessions with real users
- Recorded sessions and full insight analysis
- Prioritised findings and opportunities report
- Practical recommendations the Winner’s team can act on
- Executive-ready research report
The scope, timing, and specific deliverables will be agreed with the Winner in writing following selection. The Prize is not transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and cannot be assigned to another person or organisation.
7. Prize Conditions
- The Winner must engage with Testmate to plan and schedule the research engagement within 90 days of receiving the winner notification, or the Prize will be forfeited.
- The research engagement will be delivered remotely unless otherwise agreed in writing. Travel, accommodation, and related expenses are not included.
- The Winner must nominate an internal contact who can participate in planning sessions and assist with recruiting end users for testing where required.
- Testmate retains all intellectual property rights in its research methodologies and proprietary tools. The Winner will own the research report and findings delivered as part of the Prize.
- The Winner agrees to allow Testmate to use a brief, anonymised description of the engagement as a case study or testimonial, unless the Winner provides written objection within 14 days of receiving notification.
- If the Prize cannot be delivered as described for reasons beyond Testmate’s reasonable control, Testmate may substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value.
- Any tax liability arising from receipt of the Prize is the sole responsibility of the Winner. Testmate recommends Winners seek independent tax advice.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
Testmate’s research engagements are delivered under a no lock-in, 100% satisfaction guarantee. If the Winner is not satisfied with the quality of the research delivered, Testmate will work with the Winner to address any concerns. If the matter cannot be resolved to the Winner’s reasonable satisfaction, Testmate will provide a remedy at its discretion, which may include a partial or full re-delivery of the relevant component. This guarantee does not affect any rights the Winner may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Winner Selection
The Winner will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by Testmate, based on merit assessed against the following criteria:
- Impact potential — the degree to which professional user research could meaningfully improve the organisation’s digital product and outcomes for its users
- Clarity of problem — the quality and specificity of the organisation’s description of its current digital challenges
- Organisational readiness — evidence that the organisation is in a position to act on research findings
- Public benefit — the extent to which improved digital services would benefit the broader community served by the organisation
The judges’ decision is made at their absolute discretion and is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
Testmate reserves the right to select a reserve winner in the event the original Winner is found to be ineligible or forfeits the Prize.
10. Winner Notification
The Winner will be contacted by email within 5 business days of selection. The Winner must respond within 10 business days, failing which the Prize will be forfeited and awarded to the reserve winner. Testmate will announce the winning organisation’s name on the Giveaway Page and may do so via its social media channels, unless the Winner requests otherwise in writing.
11. Publicity
By entering, all Entrants consent to Testmate using the Entrant’s name, organisation name, and Entry information for promotional purposes related to this Competition, without further notice or compensation, in any media throughout the world.
12. Privacy
Testmate collects personal information from Entrants for the purpose of conducting this Competition, administering the Prize, and for promotional purposes. By entering, Entrants agree to Testmate’s Privacy Policy (testmate.com.au/privacy-policy-tc/). Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties except as required to administer the Competition or as required by law. Entrants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting hello@testmate.com.au.
13. Exclusive Discount Offer
All Entrants who submit a valid Entry but are not selected as the Winner will receive an exclusive discount on their first Testmate user research campaign. The discount offer is valid for 14 days from the date of the winner announcement. The discount is personal to the Entrant’s organisation, non-transferable, and cannot be combined with any other offer. Testmate reserves the right to modify or withdraw the discount offer at any time prior to redemption.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Testmate excludes all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect, special, or consequential loss) arising in connection with this Competition or the Prize. Testmate is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any network, server, or website. If the Competition is interfered with or cannot be conducted as reasonably anticipated, Testmate reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend it. Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on consumers under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. General
- This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any social media platform.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
- By submitting an Entry, Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and the decisions of Testmate.
- Testmate reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time by publishing changes on the Giveaway Page.
- This Competition is open to organisations operating in Australia only.
